Azri Cards ("we", "our", or "the app") is a flashcard application developed by Astemir Boziev (the "Developer"), based in Georgia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Account Information

When you sign in with Apple, we receive your email address (or a private relay address) and display name.

User-Generated Content

Your flashcards, decks, folders, images, and audio recordings are stored locally on your device. If you subscribe to Azri Cards Pro, your content is synced to our cloud servers (Google Firebase) to enable cross-device access.

Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage data to improve the app experience, including:

• Screen views and feature interactions (via Firebase Analytics)
• Study statistics such as cards reviewed, review ratings, and session duration
• App version, device type, and operating system version

Crash Data

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic data. This helps us identify and fix bugs. Crash reports may include device state, stack traces, and the anonymous user identifier.

Push Notification Tokens

If you enable notifications, we store your device's push notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) to send study reminders.

2. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process your personal data under the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract: To provide the Azri Cards service, store your flashcards, sync data, and manage your account and subscription.
• Legitimate interest: To analyze usage patterns, improve the app, fix bugs, and ensure the security of our service.
• Consent: To send push notifications and, where required by law, to collect analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time through your device settings or by contacting us.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the service: Store your flashcards, sync data across devices, and schedule spaced repetition reviews.
• Improve the app: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and fix issues.
• Personalization: Adapt the spaced repetition algorithm (FSRS) to your learning patterns.
• Communication: Send study reminders via push notifications (with your permission).

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect and process your data:

You may opt out of analytics tracking by contacting us at the email below. Disabling push notifications in your device settings will also limit certain data collection.

5. Data Storage and International Transfers

Your flashcard data is stored locally on your device using a local database. For Pro subscribers, data is additionally stored on Google Firebase servers, which may be located in the United States.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), transfers of your data to servers outside the EEA are protected by appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as implemented by our third-party service providers. By using cloud sync, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer of your data as described in this section.

6. Data Retention

• Active accounts: Your data is retained as long as your account exists and you use the service.
• Deleted content: When you delete cards, decks, or folders, cloud copies are soft-deleted and permanently removed after 10 days.
• Account deletion: You can delete your account from the app's profile settings. Upon deletion, all associated cloud data is permanently removed.

7. Children's Privacy

Azri Cards is rated 4+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email below and we will promptly delete such information.

8. Your Rights (GDPR — European Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Data portability: Export your flashcards via APKG, CSV, or ZIP formats built into the app.
• Restrict or object to processing of your data.
